Kathy's Story
Life
I live in San Antonio, TX,& love it. NO more ice cold weather.I have lived here for about 33 years. My husband and I enjoy motorcycling, on our Harley dresser, around the country. We make it back to WI at least once a year. We belong to the American Legion Riders, a group of riders, who belong to the American Legion. I am an auxiliary member of the Legion. We all enjoy riding, and do a lot of charity events. Especially for military families, or our military in the hospitals here. San Antonio, is loaded with military, and we have several military bases .
I purchased my own home about 13 years ago, and have it decorated in Southwest Indian style. Love giving large parties, on my back deck a couple times per year.
I married my husband "Chip" 9 years ago. That is after saying for several years "NEVER AGAIN". He will tell people that I got sick of him begging, so I finally gave in, and said "yes" to shut him up. He's the best!!!
I have 2 grown daughters, both of whom are married. Their names are Jodi and Skye. I also have 4 granddaughters, Jordie Ann, Taryn Lyn, Ashtyn Leigh, & Sophie Katherine
I am the family genealogist, and immerse myself in it. On one side of the family I have researched back into the B.C. era. Have met a ton of fellow genealogists, and some cousins, (that I didn't know I had),...Expand for more
including in Europe. I belong to several historical societies, and genealogy societies, in Wisconsin.History has gotten to be a passion in life because of it. Also preservation of historic buildings.
I currently work for a company named Euro-Alamo Management, Inc., which is owned by European investors. Our current project is restoring a historic theatre in downtown San Antonio, which is owned by the company. Our historic Aztec on the River Theatre, opened April 01, 2006.
I also work as the head bartender at the Hangin' Tree Saloon, in Bracken,Texas, at night. We are located just outside of San Antonio. It is a "country honky tonk", including swinging doors,at the entrance, and a hitching rail outside. We have a variety of country western bands playing there on Fri and Sat nites. I have worked there for 17 years.
My house is maintained for the comfort of my 2 dogs (people puppies). I have 1 dog that is half pit bull half chowchow. We also rescued a puppy, that is half german shephard half schnauzer. That's a combination. They are both my babies. Both are very protective of me, but they are definitely not the dogs to attack anyone, unless you pose a threat to me.
I will NEVER move back to the frigid north again, although I do visit in the summer...I miss my family and old buddies, to stay away too long.
