I quit drinking 36 yrs ago and I do not smoke. I enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking, sitting by the streams n creeks having a quiet moment with my grandchildren. I enjoy writing poetry and short stories, I have a published poem, "Don't Give Up". I am now in the progress of writing a short story. I am never idle, always on the go............. well that is all for now, take care and I hope you have a awesome day. e leaving high school, with an exception of a couple of secretarial jobs. I am now working in Abbotsford School District as an Aboriginal Cultural Liaison Worker. Meaning I teach 1st Nations Culture to Native n Non Native students. I have the greatest job around as I do not teach in one classroom or one school but the whole district from K - 12, it's fantastic!!!!!! I also, for the last 32 years have volunteered in the men's and women's prisons around the Fraser Valley. I go in & share culture, bringing in my youth dance troupe to perform at their socials. We share our Native culture to those who have never had the chance to be a part of their culture, through singing, dancing, drumming, story telling and I teach them to sew their own ribbon shirts. Being a big sister or auntie or grandmother to ones who have not had it in their lives. It is very rewarding & no I have never felt threatened inside. Each person who attends the socials have earned that right. they are no different than anyone else who has made a mistake in their life. Just maybe a little bigger than some, but are learning to change whatever behavior brought them to that place. All my children have been inside with me & all have enjoyed the years going. The guys have an inside joke with me, they call me a 'lifer' because of the time I have spent going into see them. Catch me on my Facebook under Kathy James, have an awesome day and drop me a line here or add me on fb.

The layout for my garden is not just on paper anymore. We've gotten the blueberries (pink lemonade and regular) into two boxes now as well as the currants and gooseberry bushes. I still have leeks growing from last year plu
