Katie's Story
Life
I am now the proud mother to a beautiful baby girl, born in 2019. I have a Stepson, born in 2009, became a part of my life in late 2013. I've been married and divorced, all before age 25. I'm now with my daughter's father and have been since 2013.
School
My favorite teachers were Myers, Mrs. Kittleson, Mrs. Boger & Mrs. Doty, Mr. Bishop, and Senora Essex. I think my favorite memory would be winning our last football game in triple overtime, while not dating my football player boyfriend. I think the second best would be the seniors getting work detail for decorating our hallway for basketball homecoming when we were told not too. High school was fun!
College
I attended Ferris State University for a year. Then returned home to go to Southwestern Michigan College. I pursued my associates degree there and graduated in December of 2015 with my Associates in Arts (Business Major) and my Associates in Science (Medical Pre-Professional.) Life gave me a few detours along the way, making it take longer than anticipated.
Workplace
I currently work for United Federal Credit Union. In high school I worked for Martin's Supermarkets in Niles, having stayed there for almost 14 years in some capacity or another. I also worked at 1st Source Bank for about 6 years, while still working at Martin's and attending SMC to finish my degrees.
