Kaye's Story
I love to read and paint.
I always wanted to be a Stewardess when I grew up. I retired in 2005 after 35 years with Delta Airlines. The last ten years I flew were international. I returned to school and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts.
Now, I spend my free time painting and photographing whatever captures my eye. Life is amazing!
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have water, a camera, and comfortable shoes to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I also love to play with my grandchildren, Kaylee and Sydney.
Robert Casolara was a hero to me. He was always positive and full of life. He survived Vietnam and came home to an even greater challenge with ALS. Miss your smile, the twinkle in your eyes, and your outlandish plots.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a studio. My dream home would be like the home my parents built in New Hartford..
My kids are now showing me just how much they internalized while growing up. (Though it did get a bit much when my daughter wanted me to do Suzuki violin lessons with my grandchild like I did with her.) My b...Expand for more
iggest reward, though, is how close they still are to each other. I truly believe that bond kept them from making a lot of mistakes their friends made.
My current goal is to create interesting paintings and explore new techniques, and to have fun exploring art with my 2 granddaughters.
One of my greatest memories will be the invitation that was extended to me for NHHS reunion. I am so glad I was able to make it to the 50th reunion and see everyone again. It was great to remember old times and learn of the wonderful paths our lives have taken. The present owner of my home gave me a wonderful tour of it. He has done an amazing job keeping it up and making upgrades that were in keeping with the original home. I was also able to say a final goodbye to Bob Casolara. He will always be remembered. My last day was spent driving through favorite areas all the way up to Old Forge taking photographs of the absolute beauty God has created here. And the people I met along the way we're incredibly friendly. This reunion was everything I had hoped for and more--refreshing and making more memories.
