Keisha's Story
After graduating high school, I married Danny Laster who I dated all through my high school years. We've been married almost 22 years. We have three sons with the oldest being 21 and then we have 15 year old twin sons. The 1st 12 years after graduating high school we stayed in Muhlenberg County. Then Danny became a manager with Wal-Mart and he was asked to move to eastern Ky to open up a new Wal-Mart SuperCenter Store. So we up and moved to Gamaliel, Ky in 1997 which is about 1 hour east/south of Bowling Green. Then while living at Gamaliel Danny surrendered his life to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He then became pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Scottsville, Ky. We stayed there for 2 years and then Danny accepted the pastor position of a church in TN in Oct of 2002. have now been in TN for almost 6 years and Danny is still pastoring. After graduating high school and having all three of my boys, I then went back to college and got my Associates Degree in Medical Office Assisting. I've worked for different doctors doing medical transcription and then for the past 6 years I have been in the Home Health business. I am currently an office manager for a home health agency in TN. As for my children. My oldest son has also surrendered to preach/pastor and is now an Associate Pastor of a Baptist church in Hampshire, TN. My twins sons are in 8th grade and we homeschool them. They have been homeschooled since 4th grade. So this is pretty much my life since high school. I guess you could sum up my families life like this as our motto has been: AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!
