Brian's Story
Hello London High School class of 1984. I was a member of your class for approximately 3 years prior to becoming a high school dropout. At the age of 17 I became a father so I was forced to join the work force.
I don't use fatherhood as an excuse for quitting school, I most-likely wouldn't have graduated anyway. Truancy, fighting, and outright disrespect towards faculty members were all characteristics of mine. To this day, I regret my actions as a high school student.
Moving along now. After dropping out of high school, I attended night school and obtained a G.E.D. A few years later I attended Clark State Community College. I enrolled in the Basic Peace Officer Training Academy. I graduated in December of 1989. A few days after graduation, I joined the London, Ohio Police Department where I'm employed today with the rank of Sergeant. I plan to retire in a little more than a year. At that point I plan to start my own business.
During the past 25 years, I've fathered 1 son: Aaron, 3 daughters: Amanda, Allison, Abby, and one step-daughter: Jennifer.
Aaron is a Sergeant in the United States Army. He has served 3 tours of duty in Iraq. Amanda i...Expand for more
s currently attending a cosmetology school. Allison and Abby are attending school in the London City School District.
My current interests are motorcycle riding, I'm talking about "sports bikes", that Harley Davidson crap isn't for me. I own a Triumph TT 600. I'm a rabid Pittsburgh Steelers fan so that pretty much occupies my time in the fall and winter months. I enjoy playing in poker tournaments from time to time. I also spend a lot of time playing online-John Madden Football via a PS3 system. I'm currently ranked in the top 1200 worldwide. Some may find my video game playing to be a bit immature but it keeps me away from activities that could potentially cause me problems.
All right ladies and gentlemen, I'm out for now. I hope to hear from some of you and I'm looking forward to attending a future class of 1984 reunion.
On May 1st 2020, I retired as a sergeant with the London Police Department after 30 1/2 years of service. Since then, I've detailed cars and worked with a couple of friends who cut down trees as a side job. With all of this free time, I'm becoming somewhat restless so I'm about to start a new job in the courier service.
