Keith's Story
Life
After High Skool, went to College in Brampton. Moved to Toronto in 89 after graduation. Moved to Atlanta, GA in March of 95. That's where I remain. Have been with the same company since 1990 and am enjoying the single life. In 2001 I bought a house, so that is kind of fun.
Workplace
The majority of my work life had been at the same company, although they changed names quite frequently. First it was Southam, but then I moved to the US division that was sold in a management buyout. So then it became CMD. Then CMD was bought by Reed Business Information to later be called Reed Construction Data.
Spent the first 10 years in IT, and then Project Management. Then I became Operations Manager (which is just a fancy way of saying that...Expand for more
I managed everything that nobody else was specifically responsible for), but I got a nice office with it :)
They let me go as part of a RIF (reduction in force) on June 6, 2008 after about 17 years and 8 months. After a wonderful summer off, I went to work for Saba Software as an advanced support engineer. It was nice because work was a 7-8 minute drive on city streets. Unfortunately they decided to close our office.
I now work at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, supporting their learning management system that is used by the entire US Nuclear power industry. I'm really enjoying this company.
I've had the same house since 2001, and went debt free a couple years ago. Avid fan of the Gwinnett/Atlanta Gladiators (Hockey).
