Life Although I was born in Kaplan, La, I arrived in Port Sulphur at the age of 3 and it was the only "home" for me. While we all have fond memories of growing up there, my story is quite different from most. I often wished that our family had moved away in the mid-1960's like so many other families, but my Dad decided to stay because my sister was in high school at that time and didn't want to leave. So, for me Port Sulphur became the place that I would come to discover the feeling of undeniable love and what it feels like to truly have your heart broken. While you may go through periods of putting the past behind you, you never can completely remove that FIRST TRUE LOVE out of your mind. She remains there with me to this day. So, Port Sulphur holds good, bad, and horrible memories for me. My degree is in Chemistry from Loyola University, where Coach Rags Scheuermann recruited me to play baseball and led to a brief appearance in MLB for the Kansas City Royals. Now retired, I have managed and directed laboratories through the years. My last assignment was as a Senior Environmental Consultant for Phillips66, but always considered offers with other companies that would lead to European assignments. I was coerced into trying professional modeling as a sideline career in 1978, against my better judgement. That opinion changed, once I got into it, and kept at it until I decided to call it quits in 1994. You may have seen me in a magazine or advertisement during that time span. Married in 1975 (Rose Marie Dumesnil) to a graduate of River Oaks Academy.
