Keith's Story
Life
After school... heh.
Travelled with a group called Up With People singing and dancing... where I learned that Warren RI, contrary to popular belief, is NOT the center of the universe. Imagine that! This group was the vehicle for me to travel to the west coast and spend 5 1/2 months in Europe.. performing on stage, and then another few months down south...
Came home, got my BS degree in Telecommunications from New England Tech and went to work making interactive training programs and web design. (Which I currently still do). Got married a few years ago and now live in Somerset with the wife, horse, 2 dogs, cat, race car and computers.
However now, aside from working in Newport, and doing vinyl decals ( rallydecals dot com) on the side and I'm heavily involved in a form or racing called Autocross (scca dot com).
In 2003, I became the class National Champion driving my 2002 WRX in two different national ...Expand for more
series, Solo-II and ProSolo. In 2004 I trophied in 7th in the STX class at the national championships.
This year (2005) in just a couple weeks, I'll be campaigning my newest car, Mazda RX-8 in the SCCA National Championships in Topeka KS in the B-Stock class going against some heavy hitters and muti-time national champs. I believe I have a great shot at "the Jacket". ;)
More racing news is that in 2003 in Boston and 2004 in New York, I was the fastest driver in those cities for the Mazda RevItUp (mazdarevitup dot com) tour and won a trip to Laguna Seca to compete with 19 other city winners... two years in a row is a feat only 4 other drivers accomplished.
