Keith's Story
After I PCS'd from Bamberg me and my family moved to Washington State. While there I resided at Olympia first going to North Thurston High School and then moved to Ft Lewis Washington to live on base switching schools again prior to my senior year going to school at Lakes High School. After graduation I decided to joined the military and after thorough research I decided to join the Air Force for the travel and the better way of life. So in October of 98 I entered into basic training in San Antonio which only lasted for about 9 weeks and learned while in basic I would be getting a job as a dental assistant. Following basic I went to tech school to learn my job at Sheppard AFB TX which is in Wichita Falls TX. That particular location lasted from December 1st to the end of Feb 99. Between that time my family moved from Washington State to San Antonio TX. ng I was going back to where my military career started. Anyway I lived in San Antonio for 4 great years and then was PCS to Ramstein, Germany for two years. During those two years I received upgrade training so instead of assisting the dentist in procedures I began to work on my own by cleaning teeth. After those two years I was PCS'd once again...however this time the choice wasn't mine where to go. The Air Force decided to put me where they need me so then they sent me to Ellsworth AFB, SD. If you're wondering where that's at don't worry I didn't either. It's actually located near Mount Rushmore, and resides next to Sturgis, the home of the yearly motorcycle rally. At first if was a slight culture shock being away from anything resembling a big city but I've gotten use to it and actually appreciate the small town feel of less traffic and people plus compared to Germany it was great to be back in the convenience of the states. Currently I'm engaged to a great woman and and am here to connect with friends.
