I'm not a big fan of social media. I'm not on Facebook; I don't Tweet nor Twitter. I joined LinkedIn a few years back. and I've been registered here for many years with little activity beyond looking at the odd update & occasionally looking up old schoolmates. I finally broke down though, invested $30.00 for full access so I guess I'd better write something about my life. After graduating from Vanier at the tender age of 17, I took an electrical apprenticeship becoming a Journeyman Electrician at 21, (which is quite young to be a journeyman). Shortly thereafter I worked for Ontario Hydro as a control Technician at Pickering Nuclear Generating Station; for 4 years, I was registered in the City of Toronto as a Master Electrician; had my own small contracting business and transitioned to selling electrical equipment in the mid-eighties. That took me to Vancouver in 1988 where I've been ever since. In 2021, I'll have spent half of my life here, the 1st half of course spent in Metro Toronto. I changed jobs in 1989, joined a major electrical manufacturer with whom I remained for nearly 31 years. It had it's ups & downs but I feel I've done well, having earned a pretty high level of respect from (most of) my customers, my coworkers & colleagues all across the country. I retired at the end of March 2020, 3 months after my 65th birthday, I've been gratified by the aforementioned respect & love I've received.
