Kelley's Story
Life
I really don't look at this very often...way too busy, I guess! So, I guess it's time to update again!
It's January, 2010. My husband, Brian, and I have been married for 26 years. Unfortunately, he's been experiencing several different health issues the past 1 1/2 years, so he's been home receiving disability. I still work from home during the day doing telemarketing work for a local insurance company. I have recently re-started my Tupperware business, which had kind of been on hold the last few years. Working from home all day, and my husband being home all the time now makes me want to get out of the house a little more at night!
My oldest son, Jake, is a first year law student at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, living in Cleveland Hts. now. He graduated from OSU last June. It's nice having him closer to home again, even though we still don't get to see him often, because he is very busy with his classes, and still dating his girlfriend of over 3 years, Monika. They now have a "long distance" romance. Monika was unable to find a job in Cleveland after graduation from OSU, so she took a ...Expand for more
job in Columbus and moved there last November.
My younger son, Zach, graduated from high school last June. He was a member of National Honor Society his senior year! This was a particularly special honor for him, since he has Asperger's Syndrome. Although he has finished with his high school work, he has been able to continue at the school he has been attending the last 3 years. He is part of a new, very unique, program. It is the Transition program, teaching him life and social skills. This will help him move on to either college or career, whatever he chooses to do in the near future. He will attend this program for 1 more year after this school year. We are very fortunate that he has the opportunity to participate in this groundbreaking program. This is virtually the only one of its kind in Ohio at this time.
We just adopted a kitten from the Lake County Humane Society via Petsmart. He joins our other 2 cats, Crombie, 9 1/2 yrs., and Chevy, 9 yrs. This will be it, at least for now! 3 cats are enough!
It would be great to hear from past friends and classmates. I'm looking forward to the 30 year reunion!
