Kelli's Story
Iam a stay at home mom with two kids Anthony(8) and Gianna(5). I live in California about 1 hour from San Fransisco. I would of never thought I would be a PTA mom, but I am the recycling chair at my kids school. I am in charge of the recycling program. I teach the kids about the importance of recycling. They have to sort their plastic and alluminum at lunch. We also have drop off bins where families bring their recycling from home. The program brings in about $3,000.00 a year for our school. We also started recycling all of the paper at our school, instead of throwing it away. This has saved our school about $10,000.00 dollars in disposal bills a year. I live in a gated golf coarse and I take my kids to school in a golf cart. My husband owns a electrical contracting business...Expand for more
. He also has a farm on Ryer Island where he grows alfalfa and has a duck club for hunting. My sister in law Joanne, who also graduated in 1987 was born with only partial kidney function. This last October my other sister-n-law gave Joanne one of her kidneys. They both are doing so good, and Joanne is feeling better than she has her whole life. I am sharing this in case anyone else has someone they know that needs a transplant or if anyone has ever considered giving an organ. It is a life changing event. I was amazed at how easily Diane recovered and to watch Joanne go from deaths door to a vibrant healthy person was a miracle. Friends and family are the most important things we can have and I have been blessed. I hope everyone is doing well and doing something they love doing.
