Life
I have been transplanted to Wild Wonderful (and cold) Wisconsin after spending 5 years in the Caribbean as a travel nurse. I married my husband, Norbert Straub, in April 2003. We have a 1- year-old son, Nolan, and I have a 5-year-old son, Jack. I work part-time outside the home as an ER nurse, but otherwise enjoy spending time with my kids. Jack, who is autistic, is a great swimmer and loves computers and Sponge Bob. Nolan loves anything small enough to fit in his mouth, his brown bunny, and, most of all, his Daddy. in when he was 12 from Germany, perhaps it was the lure of beer and brats and cheese!! I've managed to remain a vegetarian despite the popular Midwestern diet around here of beef, beef, and more beef. I wouldn't consider myself an official Cheesehead, since I'm not really a Packer fan and can't consume that much beer.
We love to travel and escape the cold a couple times a year to take my oldest son to see his father on the island of St. John, USVI. We also enjoy seeing my family and a few friends back in Baltimore fron time to time. Otherwise we like to garden, bike, hike, and sample great red wines!
