Kelly's Story
Life
Hummm, well, goofed around for a while, then I met this gut whom I really liked. I asked him to marry me in 1988, yes, I asked him, and he said yes. I really am a subtle as a sharp stick in the eye. We had 12 good years together. We became Cross country truck drivers. We saw all kinds of really cool things, and had lots of good times. We built a home, in Stanfield (very small town). After 10 years, we got the most precious gift God could give a person, two perfect sons. Of course, we named the James and John. All my dreams had come true! Then about 2000, something happened, I'm not sure what, but things changed, husband left, lost job, lost home, lost drivers lisence, hence ability to earn money, self respect was gone. Friends, gone. Things seemed bad for the Kelly.
Learned to crawl, learned to walk, learned to work on AC units. Exelled at school (big difference huh), earned journeymans class 1, earned EPA universal, and after 2 attempts, earned contractors lisence. To prove taht I wasn't the smartest in the house, both kids got strait A's that year. You didn't forget about them did ya? Finally got my lisence back, got a car (with the latest in security devices, an interlock) if you don't know what it is, it's NC way ...Expand for more
of giving you a breathalizor every time you get in the car. Needless to say, I don't drink anymore.
I'm not sure who's happier, me or the kids.
Go figure, all my dreams had come true again, well, my guys still wanted me to take an ad out in the paper that said "dad wanted". It's tough to date when your your son looks at your date and says "when you marry my mom, can I call you dad"? They get that from me, you know, subtle as a sharp stick in the eye. Yes, they are my heros.
Last year, my biggest hero, my dad, passed away. Still hurts like hell. Me and the guys moved to Raleigh, I got a good job (one day I'll work for myself).
I think that I'm caught up, things go well. We're not rich, but we're happy. Sometimes that's something that you can't buy.
If I have ever hurt you, I'm sorry. I don't have any regrets, and I don't hate anyone. I've always been difficult to get along with, as well as being an egomaniac, oh yea, and subtle. I came to this site to see if anyone that I went to school wanted to chit-chat. I felt an overwhelming urge to put myself out there. Feel free to drop a note, be sure to send a picture due to the fact that I am older.
Yes, still use all the lingo of west side Charlotte, but I'm working on it.
