Ken's Story
After graduation I got a job working for the BC ferries ,in the kitchen .In 1974 I had an opertinuity to go overseas to New Zealand so I went ,I was only going for a holiday as I didn't know anything about it and thought it would be fun .When I got here I couldn't believe the weather after the cold of Canada it was fantastic ,the people were really friendly and if you wanted a job you could walk into any business and get a job doing just about anything you wanted to.So I got a job making furniture and would spend the weekends going to the beach and fishing I met some friends who got me a job in the meat industry it was hard work but good money .New Zealand is ve...Expand for more
ry much like Canada except warmer ,with beautiful beaches .When I got a job the idea of going back homw didn't even enter my mind ,life was really good ,I have been looking for my brother Mike for about 15 years unsecfully ,that's how I found this site .When I started remembering all the people I went to school with .I found my year book with so many old friends it brought back memories from home and all who were a part of my life so many years ago .I had forgotten how hot the girls were when I was at school I will try to put up a picture but my camera died so will have to get another .contact kengrice (at) clear (dot)net(dot)nz can you work it out give me a yell
