Ken's Story
Elected to five terms as President, New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association, one term as Vice President, one term as Treasurer, three terms as Secretary, multi-term District Director, multi-term National Delegate, Federated States Division, Manufactured Housing Institute. I am the only person in the history of the organization, started in 1974, to hold every single electable position on the Board of Directors.
It's important to note here that New Mexico was the first state in the nation to establish a HUD SAA and a state association simultaneously in 1974, two years prior to the enactment of the HUD Code.
Volunteered to prepare RV/MH Hall of Fame nomination applications on behalf of:
Red Worley, Modern Homes, Roswell, NM, inducted into Class of 2000,
Al Hesselbart told me this was the first application in history to be inducted on the first try when the applicant was totally unknown by any selection committee members
James Knott, J&B Homes, Carlsbad, NM, inducted into Class of 2011
Doug Gorman, Home-Mart, Tulsa, OK, inducted into Class of 2012.
