Ken's Story

Life I moved to Santa Barbara, Ca in 1983.In 1990 I was involved in a tradgic motorcycle accident which left me for dead. I broke my complete rib cage,my collar bone in 2 places, fractured my sturnum, had a punctured lung and broke my neck... C-1.I was pronounced DOA. Clinicly dead for 19 minutes. And yet I survived! I was paralized from the neck down and that I would remain that way forever. But, as the doctors said 'I was just lucky to be alive!'Call it fate but I revived 100%. With alot of hard work and faith I returned with zero reprecutions. It was during my death that I saw my future and it all came true. With my story and my visions I became involved in the entertainment industry. My career began to take off. I made all the right conections and now believe in fate and we all have purpose.I became so busy that in 1995 I had to move to Los Angeles to be closer to the studios. I didn't know how I could afford it and then... one of the actress' from 'The Young & The Restless' put up the money and sold me her estate in Encino. I knew it was ment to be and I made the move which put me closer to my office at CBS at the time. It worked out great! I'm always looking for a way to give back and I'm amazed at how often my story touches someones life at just the right time in their lives to help them get through hard times. I've worked with cancer patients in their last few days. I've helped people understand death and dying to put them at peace.I was spared my life to write television and film that makes a difference. If you look at my work profile I'm sure you will notice all my projects change people. They have a message without slaming you in the face. They make you think about your life and how important everyday is. I'd love to talk to anyone from OV or my class at UCLA.I do get alot of people in LA daily tr...Expand for more
ying to reach me to pitch script projects and they are screened tightly by my P.A. Therese... she's an animal! But, makes my life tolerable, otherwise I tend to spread myself too thin. It's a dog-eat dog world in this industry and I'm wearing milkbone underware! So, I do have to be careful because anytime I'm told someones personal story it's a potential lawsuit here in LA.That's why I miss Vermont because everyone is so much more down to earth and without secondary motives. Just true, caring and loving people. I'm excited about our next reunion and plan on making it a point to be there.I'd love to hear from anyone back home so feel free to email me and lets talk.I hope everyone is doing great... as a writer it's time for me stop... I can go all night! Class of '75, '76, '77, '78 and '79 I have fond memories of classmates from all these years. Text me and be patient, I'm busy but i'll get back to you... Workplace I have been working in the entertainment field since 1990. I write and produce for television and film. I have my own production company here in Los angeles and travel quite alot on projects. My schedule is hectic but I wouldn't trade my life for anything. I've worked on films such as, 'Sleepless in Seattle', 'Ghost', and 'The Firm'... also television... 'The Young & The Restless','Touched By An Angel','Seventh Heaven','Ally McBeal','American Dreams','Gilmore Girls' and reciently 'Lost','Ugly Betty' and 'The Riches'. I had been working on my own pilot for HBO entitled 'Ordinary Day'. I sold the project out right to Showtime Network. They retitled the project and named it, "Californication". It's first season aired in 2007 and has been slated for another season. It's loosly based on my life here in LA as a writer. My work changes all the time but truly love what I do and living in Los Angeles.
