Kenneth's Story
Life
cypresschairs at yahoo dot com Left school, & left Fairhaven in 1980 to join the USAF as an aircraft mechanic. First assignment was in Plattsburgh, New York, from 1981-1984. From there I went to RAF Mildenhall, England. I spent 11 years there, and met my wife (who is British) in the Canary Islands while on vacation. Together we have 2 children (I have a 3rd). We then spent 10 years in south Georgia, while I was stationed at Moody AFB. While there I got to go to a few crap-hole countries like Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Q...Expand for more
atar (the best of the 4), and Djibouti. I now live in Gloucester, Virginia and stationed at Langley AFB. I NEVER thought I'd still be in the Air Force after 26 years, but I have enjoyed what I do, and would do it all over again. Future plans aren't in stone, but I'm thinking of teaching Middle School math when I finally retire from the Air Force.
** I "retired" from the AF on May 1 2008!!! I have begun working as a Defense Contractor at Head Quarters Air Combat Command, Langley AFB. Virginia is now officially HOME**
