Kenneth's Story
Life
My wife is now considered a long term survivor of Pulmonary Hypertension. She has been treated for over 10 years now and is holding her own.
We support
research to find a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension, which both she and her brother have genetically inherited. Untreated, it is a potentially fatal disease. PLEASE look up Pulmonary Hypertension on the web to learn more about this disease.
Thank You
update- Our 4th Annual Walk-a-thon Fundraiser for Pulmonary Hypertension in October 2008 at Eisenhower Park raised more than $70,000. Joanne and her brother are both considered Long-term survivors of the disease now. (alive more than 10 years after diagnosis)
It has been 10 years since we started on our home renovation and it is still going on. We are in the final stretch now as 80% of the downstairs mouldings have been refinished and reinstalled. With the economy as bad as it is, I expect to be out of work for at least 10 weeks this year so maybe I'll be able to complete the job. I sure hope so.
In 1998 my restified 1971 Dodge Dart convertible was featured in a nationally published
magazine. My brother and older sister still live on Long Island, while my younger sister lives in ...Expand for more

Update: had to junk my 1971 Dodge Demon ( think Duster only Dodge) because NY's harsh weather caused too much rust & rot to repair & I sold my Dart convertible. Now I drive a 2011 Chrysler 200 and for fun a 2009 Dodge Challenger Surf Blue Classic edition. For a hobby I enjoy building 1/25th scale model cars of Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge or AMC products. Still working on the house. I recently won a tri-state area Dunkin Donuts promotion grand prize by writing about my wife and how she is a positive influence on the community. We won 2 nights in NYC , tickets to Madam Toussauds and $1000 in spending money.
I have been working as a local 3 electrician for 28 yrs now and am the 4th generation in my family to do this job. My great-grandfather started in 1911, so now my family has been employed by Local Union #3 for over 100 years!
Our 7th annual PH fund raiser has put our total raised for research over the $250,000 mark and we plan to continue every year until a cure is found.
How come very few of the 150+ class of '79 current members of this site don't write any bio? It sure would make this site more interesting! Take the time to put a little something down.
