Kevin's Story

Life Hi...Sorry guys, but I hated high school and never missed it, but I enjoy hearing from old friends. After graduating I went on the road, came back, got a real job and had been there for over 25 years (graphic arts). I still play music, can't give it up. I'm still a drummer and still play in clubs, something I've done since we were all 17. I've been told I have the same boyish face but now I'm a tattooed biker and look like a thug. I lived in Tewksbury from '89 to '04, have three gorgeous kids, Kellianne, Shannon and Jack. Hollis, New Hampshire is where I call home nowadays, nice little artsy town. I still indulge my twisted visions and passions through painting, tattooing, songwriting and recording. I have met many of the great drummers of our times. Lately have been recording my drum tracks on other artists' projects. I am also a Licensed Tattoo Artist in Southern New Hampshire. It took a long time but I persevered. Recently I've had the pleasure of re-acquainting with a few of you, and I've absolutely enjoyed the experience. Keep it coming. Peace, Love and Harmony to all. School School sucked! I don't regret anything, especially leaving. Went right into trade, skipped college, playing nightclubs all through early adulthood. I just could not bring myself to be a Billerica "townie"...School was mostly learning about what NOT to be in Life (a punk) and what to be (a graduate, who could actually READ). Never cared about the sports ...Expand for more
teams. It was so cool having my own car by the middle of junior year, so my presence at school was fleeting as much as I could get away with it...after all, I was working nightclubs then, even underage...so school just put me to sleep. Did I say I hated it? FAVORITE MEMORY: Walking down the crowded stairway on a boozy buzz and tripping arse-over-heels all the way down, books and people flying, landing on the bottom and jumping to my feet and walking on non-chalantly, sending the entire hall into hysterics. Workplace My dad had worked at Acme Printing Company in Medford since 1964. I began in September '82 as an apprentice stripper (seriously). It was great making some good buddies in Meffa, my original hometown before B'rica. The company moved to Wilmington in '87 and in '95 I advanced to digital color imaging. Nowadays, the Printing Industry sucks. The asinine Corporate World isn't for me anyway, had my fill for twenty-seven years. After many years of forced night shifts, hostile corporate takeovers and slavery-style sweat shop tasks I'd had enough. Now I am happily recording DRUMS and refurbishing old DRUMS and still play DRUMS in the clubs. I've been applying my artistic slant in tattooing and became licensed in '12….the same year I reinvented myself as a Direct Service Person at a vocational day program for handicapped adults, who all become FAMILY….I can’t help but love my clients, being an Autism Parent. I'D STILL RATHER PLAY DRUMS.
