Kevin's Story
I am a recent "widower" (I've always hated that word); my beautiful wife of 10 1/2 years -- my best friend in the world-- passed away on November 30 after a year-long battle with cancer (nerve-sheath sarcoma). I'm completely and utterly devastated but holding on through the prayers and support of so many wonderful people.
I teach Latin, ancient Greek, and computers at a Catholic all-boys' high school near Chicago (I was named "Teacher of the Year" by the students---hard to believe, huh?) and have a side gig teaching at the U of Chicago.

nderful mix of the personality traits of her mother and me--she's got my wacky, oddball humor, penchant for orderliness, and love of words along with my wife's artistic flair, kindness, and compassion. And get this-- she loves SPORTS!
Though I haven't lived in the Valley since graduation, I try to keep up with the local news and I was both very surprised and saddened to read that Dawn Daylida and Carolyn Brislin passed away from cancer. Requiescant in pace.
I'd love to hear from my fellow Queensmen and Queenswomen (our high school nickname is always a source of amusement whenever I make mention of it). If you ever get to Chicago, look me up!
