Kevin's Story
Married for 30 years with two kids, both still in their 20s.
Retired US Air Force colonel/pilot with over 4,300 flight hours. Former cybersecurity professional who ran multiple programs at The MITRE Corporation. Now retired from there as well.
Second dan black belt tae-kwan-do. Have run between ten and twenty marathons; lost track of the actual number. Love medium-distance bicycling (less than 50 miles) and don't run as much as I used to.
Author of the 2023 chess book "Secrets of Trapping Pieces" found on chessable.com. Working on a prequel! Co-author "Alternate Futures for 2025", a 1995 Air University-hosted project that looked 30 years into the future to identify the systems, concepts of operation, and technologies required to ensure the US possesses dominant air and space forces in the future. Author of several shor...Expand for more
t articles in various Air Force publications. "Burning Bridges", a social commentary not a war topic, is the only one I remember fondly; but I doubt a copy could be found at this time.
Graduate of eight different colleges/universities, but not all granted degrees, so I do NOT have eight degrees. Then again, I could have graduated with four bachelor's degrees (I took a long, long time to graduate) but was too indifferent to file the paperwork for more than the one. And no PhDs or the equivalent thereof.
Summertime is for gin and tonics. I have over 500 bottles of wine in the cellar, primarily dry reds. My favorite beers are IPAs, followed by porters/stouts, and then I'm flexible. I've got some decent whiskeys but am not as extravagant as some friends of mine who have hundreds of bottles, many of them limited productions.
