Kim's Story
Life
I've been living in Elma, Wa. for the better part of my adult life. I
work at Elma High School in the kitchen. I've become a lunch lady
and I love it. I have 2 kids. Mike is 30 now and has a daughter
Jessica who's 8. That makes me a grandma. Mike is engaged to
be married in May of 07 to a great gal named Erin. She has a 7 year
old son named Joshua. Both Mike and Erin work in Aberdeen. My
daughter, Katy is 17 and is a junior at the high school where I work.
Some days she likes that I'm there and some days she don't. It's
those don't days that I'm glad that I'm there. She's an avid fast-
pitch player, on the school team and played on a competitive team
for several years. She also loves baseball. I dare anyone to talk
players, teams and stats with her. I am married to the love of my
life. Nick and I met in Yakima in 94, fell in love, lived together for
12 years. This past september,we married at our car clubs car show
here in Elma. Everyone was dressed in flames. Even my wedding
dress. And even our minister. He had a great time. ...Expand for more
Anyone who
is interested, we belong to customs northwest and we put on the
Unfinished Nationals every labor day weekend. It's here in Elma at
the grays harbor county fairgrounds. It's a great show for all of you
car enthusiasts and we'd love to see each and everyone of you.
If you're interested in attending or just want some information on
the show, please call us at (360) 482-4748. We're usually home in
the evenings. It's been great sharing some of my life with you and
I hope you're all doing well and prospering. Best wishes to you all.
Kim Altomare Gillander.
2009 update:
Kids are older, Katy graduated, Mike
and Erin had twin daughters last august,Nick and I are still married
and very happy. We still put on the
car show in Elma except it's the
weekend before labor day now. The
world of outlaws stole our weekend.
We still have a big turn out and it's
alot of fun. By the way, I cook the
dinner for everyone on Saturday night
for those that register for the weekend. I do pretty darn good cooking
for 300 or more. Hope to see some of
you there.
