Kim's Story

Hello: I'm doing just fine. I have been living in New York City for many years. My partner, John, and I have been together for over 20 years. We have a great life and look forward to the future. I'm working for New York University in their student housing operation. After I graduated from Eastern Michigan in 1979, I moved to Buffalo, New York. I spent the next 20 years living in New York State, with 12 of them in the City. Along the way, met my partner John, picked up a MS degree from Buffalo State College, and worked on my career in higher education administration. One of my career highlights was when NYU sent me to their satellite campus in Italy...Expand for more
to administer their newly formed student housing operation, located in the beautiful city of Florence. It was a wonderful professional and personal experience. I took a "side trip" for four years (2000-2004) to Ohio working at Oberlin College. After we purchased our apartment in Long Island City, Queens, New York, in April of 2004, I very much wanted to move back to NYC. I was lucky enough to be able to come back to NYU and once again work in their student housing operation. My brothers and sisters are all doing fine. I have 19 nieces and nephews and 30 great nieces and nephews. It's a full house when we all get together. Life is good. Kim
