Kim's Story
so wow, where to start...I grew up in Sunnyside and married young, moved to the farm, had a daughter, a son, and three more daughters, got a sheepdog, got a divorce, went to college, went to work in the travel business, the sheepdog died, got married again, visited Hawaii and Thailand, Mexico and Canada, most of the Caribbean, trekked some hill tribe villages, had another son, visited Paris, visited London, played in Monte Carlo, visited the diamond markets of Amsterdam, got another divorce, still looking for the right man, met a few who were not right, cried on good friends shoulders, moved to the beach, got another sheepdog and a dog named Eddie, learned that I was okay as I was and didn't have to have a man, moved away from the beach, rekindled a friendship with a man who I married and got three more daughters in the deal, have beautiful grandkids (18 , moved to Florida along the water again, brought the beach into our house along with children and grandchildren who visit, friends who are the best, and love that overflows...learned that I don't have to "fix" the world and am now just working on...Expand for more
the fact that it's okay to be me and want what I want for once...I think it may be "my turn"
Update, August 31, 2010...wow...time flies, the kids are grown up, all of them. The grandkids are growing, happy and healthy and me, I spend a lot of time traveling around the country. Since it seems I spend more time away from home than at home, I'm considering moving to a cruise ship...Ok...not really, but sometimes I think of it. This year has been a lot of cruising, a lot of working, re-writing agent manuals, going to training, conducting training, spent May in Washington State, a couple weeks home in June, road trip to Rhode Island in July, most of August in Washington and heading out next week for training in Orlando. Cruise the end of the month, October will find me back in Washington to help mom with her house and agent training before returning for Halloween. Holidays will bring my mom down, another cruise and January will find me back in Washington awaiting a new grand-daughter. After than, who knows. Cruises are booked, agent training continues and there is always something going on.
