I would probably best be remembered for my white-blond hair and my very red face whenever I was embarressed! :) I loved singing in madrigals and swing choir and loved the friendships I made. My life changed when I became a Christian at 16 years old. I remember that didn't want to follow everyone down the typical path of partying, etc., in high school, but I was afraid that was what was expected & just what everyone did. I remember praying to God out there somewhere to help me be strong and find friends like me that were different, still wanted to have fun, but not go too crazy! He answered my prayer by leading me to a new church and a new youth group. At that time I had no idea what Jesus did for me other than that He died on a cross that some mean people put him on. I had gone to church most of my life and had always felt sorry for Jesus, but didn't understand that he actually died on that cross FOR ME because I could not save myself, no matter how "good" I thought I was! So... He forgave me of my sin... and now I don't wonder any more if I will be "good enough" to go to heaven one day - I KNOW I am - because it's not based on my own goodness... but Jesus's perfect goodness who took the punishment for me on that cross.
