Kirk's Story
Guess I aught to write something so that I do not get the same questions from people.
Graduated Univ. of Tulsa in Business, with accounting and finance majors. Then spent 2 years at Univ. of Chicago for an MBA.
Back to Tulsa where I joined Cities Service Co. Spent one year there, one year in Houston, then 2 years at Lake Charles, LA. They shut down my chemicals plant, and then got bought by Occidental. In between all that I got married.
I left shortly thereafter for a petrochemical company in Jubail Saudi Arabia. Spent 12 years there in accounting, and corp planning. That included the time of the Gulf war. My only child, a son, was born oversees.
Returning to the U.S. I basically took a year off in Idaho, my wife's home area. Then took a job with Moark, an egg compan...Expand for more
y HQ in Neosho, MO. Spent a year there, then moved with them to their egg products (Liquid & Frozen & Hardcooked Eggs) plant in southern CA (Norco, near Riverside). Basically I was their division controller there. Here I was divorced after 17 years. A couple years later my son moved down and lived with me thru high school. He eventually moved off to Kansas City and got married, no grandkids at this point.
After 9 years at that facility, the company sold off its egg products operations (and kept their chicken and eggs marketing) and I went with the new company, and stayed through 6 months of transition, but was burned out of that job by then.
Left 6 years ago, and moved back to Bella Vista, AR and call it semi-retirement, although I haven't gone back to work yet.
