Life I have been married to for just over two years now, though we have been together for over 7 - me and my cold feet! I have been at my job for 5 years, and am now a "head honcho"-lol! I run a 138,000 square foot building, and pretty much work by myself. I manage all the inventory for an aircraft tool business. We just finalized the adoption of my great-nephew Gage. He has been living with us for a little over a year now. The doctor who delivered Gage seriously injured him. She caused a bleed in his brain and he was deprived of oxygen during the delivery. As a result he has very severe cerebral palsy. He turned 2 in September and he still functions pretty much at a newborn level. He is my whole world. He has great big eyes and the longest eyelashes you have ever seen! When he looks into my eyes I just melt. I couldn't imagine my life without him. I am looking at enrolling in college so I can persue a career that I can do mainly from home in order to stay home with Gage. We just started foster parenting classes, and I want to specialize in taking kids with special needs, and drug-affected babies. I am really excited about this, for the first time in my life I feel like I am doing what God wants me to do. I recently had a cancer scare (about the same time Gage came to live with us). There was a tumor on my thyroid, and the type of cancer they thought it was was very deadly, in fact once you get it you only have a few months to live and there is nothing they can do.
