Kristi's Story

Life After we graduated from Immaculate I went on to St. Michael's college where I graduated with a double major in psychology and education. Five years aftergraduating I took a teaching job in New Canaan where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 5 years. I'm not sure who learned more...my students or me! I loved it! In 1990 I met Todd who soon became my best friend. Eight years later we got married and 8 months after we got married we moved to France. He worked, I was a lady of leisure, and on the weekend we both traveled the very very beautiful country of France. Unfortunately Todd's job moved us back to the states after about a year. WE landed in Maryland where our first daugher, kayla, was born. Two years later we moved to Michigan where our son, kyle was born. Even though we wanted to get back overseas we decided to settle down for a while (and revisit our overseas dream later in life) and so we moved to southern California where Kaitlyn was born. We loved Orange County but 2 years later Todd changed companies and we moved to Northern California (East Bay). We've been in Concord for almost 3 years (the longest we've stayed in one place) and now we're off to SINGAPORE!!! We move in mid-December (2007) and we'll be there anywhere from 2-5 years. we're so excited!!! We love to live in different plac...Expand for more
es and still have no idea where we want to actually "settle down"...there are still so many places we want to live! I am a stay-at-home-mom and I love it. Even though it's harder than any day I ever had in the classroom, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I consider myself very fortunate that I am able to stay home and raise our kids. Hopefully that won't change! A few summers ago I got involved in triathlons. I have completed and handful of sprint distance events and one Olympic distance event. I had wonderful goals to train for a half ironman and eventually a full ironman but have since injured myself and have been unable to run...and there went the triathlons - for now anyway!!! I am still enjoying the cycling and hope to be able to run again some day. We're very much looking forward to our next adventure in Singapore and welcome any visitors that find themselves in that part of the world in the next few years!!! All in all i am very happy and still not sure how i got to be 41 and able to look back on "things" like graduating from high school and say, "that was more than 20 years ago." yikes - where does the time go? I look back on high school with fond memories (most of them anyway) and would love to be back in touch with old friends with whom i've lost touch! write when you can!
