Kristie's Story

Life My husband Mark and I have been very busy these last 10 years. We have spent most of our time (and $$$) traveling. Where should I start…..Scuba Dived in Cozumel Mexico, swam with dolphins in the Florida Keys, went deep sea fishing off of Key West, Florida, hiked Indian ruins in the Arizona desert, seen old mission churches in Arizona, Disney World 3 times, gambled in Las Vegas, 2 Caribbean Cruises, New Orleans, fished the waters off of Texas and in Lake Houston, saw Mt St Helen, (the day before it had the biggest eruption since 1980’s, darn!) had coffee at the first StarBucks, saw Seattle, Washington from the Space Needle and seen fish thrown in Pike’s Market, Panama City Beach Florida at least 8 times, saw dolphins in the ocean, caught a nurse shark in the Gulf of Mexico, did the Wine tasting trails in New York State, Hershey Pennsylvania, saw the place where the Twin Towers were in New York City, ate at Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville Tennessee, Grand Canyon, Zion Canyon, all of Arizona, drove on Hollywood Freeway in Los Angeles( big mistake!) San Diego Zoo, stayed on the Pacific Ocean in San Diego, climbed the stairs of St Augustine Lighthouse and saw it working at night (cool!) Kennedy Space Center, Houston Space Center, Alabama Space Center, Atlanta Georgia, Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri, fished Table Rock Lake and many more places I can’t remember! Also, we love roller coasters! The bigger the better! We are traveling the country going to parks to find the best coasters. So far, Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point has been the best. The most unique..Superman in Atlanta, Georgia. In August of 2001, I won a spot to fish in a tournament at Bass Pro Shop in Auburn Hills. We fished Lake St Clair and …I won! I got to be on national TV, Outdoo...Expand for more
r Channel and got $5,000. I used the money to buy my husband a boat. Since then we have gone every year to the tournaments, they are at different Bass Pro Shops around the country. I get to give speeches and help congratulate the winners. It’s the best part of my life! My 15 minutes of fame every year. Plus my husband likes that he can hang out with celebrities! This gave us the opportunity to go to the first Bass Pro Shop NASCAR race at Atlanta Speedway in Georgia. We were in the President of the Speedway's Suite for the race. We then got to visit the Bass Pro Shop Suite and meet the owner of the stores. They gave us all this cool stuff!! Open bar with buffet at both suites!!!!! The race was rained out all day so we had a blast hanging out between the two Suites. I had the view right over the finish line. I have awesome pictures of the race. Because of the rain we didn’t get to meet the drivers but we had the time of our lives anyway!! July 2005-Just got back from another trip. This time we stayed as guest of the Mustad Company for the annual fishing tournamet. (The one that I won in 2001) It was in Auburn New York. Had a blast hanging out with fishing celebraties! After that...New York City! Statue of Liberty, Elis Island, Grand Central Station and lots more. Then....Pheladelphia! Liberty Bell, Independance Hall and the US Mint (watched them make quarters!) This also happened to be 4th of July weekend. Then.....Washington DC. The Capitol, World War II memorial, Lincoln Memorial and lots more. Then......Gettysburg, Pennsylvania! Just happen to be there on the anniversary of the first battle. Lots of People!! Now our travels will be less. We are having a baby in May of 2006! I can't wait to go back to Disney World!!
