Kristin's Story
Life
Well, it has been 11 years since I left Vancouver- to Sunny and Hot Las Vegas.... and I am still not sure if I will be able to give that up for clouds... rain... drizzle... mist... and snow/ice. We have gone back and forth as to where we are going to go after my husband retires from the police department, and Vancouver has been one of the top running places... but we still have a couple years to decide as I am in no rush to leave Vegas. I just can't seem to pry him away for his love of being a K-9 Officer. So- if he is happy I am happy. And no one is happy unless the Mama is happy! LOL!!! One of the greatest things I have done in my life was marry my husband. He alone is one of the best things that has ever happened in my life. After getting married- he did adopt my oldest daughter. In fact the one thing she had to do was learn to spell his last name before he would do it- lets say that took her one night to learn! LOL- Her and I have been through a lot in her 10 years- and to have a dad as wonderful as she got she could not have gotten better if we would have wished for it. We also decided that we wanted to have at least one of our own- and had yet anothe...Expand for more
r girl... Who turned 2 the end of Jan. She has brought so much fun and laughter to our family. Of course my husband would like another one- I am just not bought and sold on it yet. I am a SAHM- and let me say it is a lot of work! I am busy all the time- and it never ends for me. However I would not change it for anything. I love my girls and could not see having them cared for by anyone other than myself. Things still get hectic with our schedules and there are times when we are just passing each other in the doorway. But we always make sure that we have time together so that we can just be us- aside from the fast life of work and parenting. I often find that when the realities of the everyday life tend to be crazy and complicated - I sit back and realize just how lucky we are to have everything that we do. At this point in my life- I could not ask for anything more. I have it all- the man, our house, our family, and being that stay at home mom to raise our kids and be that domesticated goddess that I have always dreamt of. After 14 years of being out of school- I finally have it all. And enjoy it to its fullest - Yet without taking anything for granted!
