Life
Wow, I can't believe it has almost been 20 years since graduation. So much has happened since then. I went to Texas A&M University where I met my husband. Once settling in the Dallas area, I started teaching ESL at a high school in Garland, Texas. Since I didn't have any children at that time, I helped start a Ballet Folklorico Dance Troupe and coached the freshman cheerleaders. After seeing some negative attitudes and treatment of my ESL students, I decided to pursue an administrative position, thus I embarked on my journey through graduate school. I received my masters in education administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2000 and my doctorate in education administration in 2005. igh school concept for early college students called Richland Collegiate High School at Richland College in Dallas. Of course I have decided that I am a school junkie and I hope to start law school at SMU in the near future to pursue a career in education law.
During my studies, I had two beautiful daughters. Ashleigh is now 10 years old and Brooke is 3 years old. They bring a whole new meaning to my life and I love to watch the changes they go through each year. Ashleigh is strong-willed just like her mother and father, and Brooke has a sweet, yet curious nature.
I do not visit Katy often anymore because my life is just too busy with career and children, but I will always love the home I knew as a teenager. I can't help but smile every time I hear that the Katy Tigers are once again in the playoffs. :)
