Larry Dean:  

Life Feb 1, 2005, After High School graduation, I attended BYU. I then went on to serve a two year mission for the church on the Navajo Indian Reservation. I had to learn the language before I went out. After my mission, I then completed my undergraduate studies at University of South Alabama, in Mobile. I majored in Nursing and met my wife Jennifer. She is from Birmingham, AL. We then moved to Birmingham so that I could attend graduate school at UAB. We worked at King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. We got to travel around the middle east and Europe. We worked there 2 years and then returned to Birmingham. I worked as a manager for Medical Intensive Care, Surgical Intensive care, etc at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)Hospital. Jennifer started working in Labor and Delivery. I now am a Nurse Practitioner at UAB working in Vascular Interventional Radiology. I also lecture at UAB school of nursing in graduate school for nurse practitioners and am a clinical instructor for RNs in Acute Care. Jennifer is still birthing babies in L&D. We have 4 children. Rachel is a junior at BYU-Idaho majoring in Public Health. Lindsey will start BYU-Idaho this fall planning on majoring in Physical Therapy. Christopher is a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School. He will soon complete his Eagle Scout project. Wesley is a 7th grader. We stay busy with school,sports, scouts, extended family stuff. My twin brother Gary, is living here as well. He is married to a lovely lady he met. They live not far from me and live in Hoover. He has two adult daughters that live in Mississippi and a daughter here in Hoover in middle school.
