Larry's Story
Hi everyone! I am so glad we have this website to find each other and hopefully stay in contact.
For those in the Class of 1968, let's get together again soon. Out 25th reunion was a lot of fun but it is sad that it was the last chance some of us had to see Raye.
As for me, I was a hairstylist for close to 30 years, having my own salon for almost 20. I was in an abusive relationship that forced me to drop out of the business.
Since I escaped that relationship I have gone to on to get my Associates Degree at Onondaga Community College and my Bachelor's Degree at Empire State College in Human Services. My second year at OCC I was president of the student government where I began a program of HIV testing for the studen...Expand for more
ts. I was also on the Executive Committee for the SUNY Student Assembly where I served on a committee to set up a guide for SUNY campuses to begin HIV testing programs.
I would like to work with men who are victims of domestic violence but, with financial restraints as they are with budgets now, I haven't been able to find that position yet. I am not without hope that it will happen. In the mean time I am doing volunteer work at my church and doing what I can to help friends that are in need.
All in all, life has been very interesting and fulfilling with the experiences that I have lived through. I am truly blessed.
