Life
Well here I am. After high school, I joined the Air Force in 1993 and have been all over the place. RAF Alconbury, Brindisi, Italy, Eglin AFB, Florida, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus, NAS Key West, etc. are but a few of the places I've landed.
Currently, I am with the 115th Fighter Wing in Madison, Wisconsin as an E-6 with 5+ more years to go before I can pull the ejection handle and punch out.
I am married now and settled down in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. I'd love to get in touch with friends from the past. Drop me a line, fire me an e-mail ... I am looking forward to catching up with you!
Military
I joined the Air Force in 1993 and have been all over the place. My "dream sheet" said non-volunteer for overseas duty. Well, look to see how that plan held up...
I was first stationed at RAF Alconbury in Huntington, England. From there I was forward deployed to Brindisi, Italy for Operation Provide Promise as part of the JSOTF II operating in the area. disappointing, personally... it was dirty, people were rude and the food, well.. not as advertised, sucked.
From there I was stationed at Eglin AFB in the panhandle of Florida. The day after I got there... we were hit by Hurricane Erin. Then came Hurricane Opal. What an entrance huh? I was than forward deployed to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia living at the Khobar Towers complex. We were attacked by terrorists on 25 June 1996 and lost 19 American servicemen and over 500 were wounded in a VBIED. I actually separated in March 1997 due to ol Billy Klinton's "force-reductions". We all see how that worked out now...
After September 11th I was brought back into active duty and have been ever since. I have been forward deployed to Langley, AFB, Virginia for the Air Defense Mission, RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus, and a real heartburn trip to NAS Key West for a few weeks. I suppose after a career of being in the wrong place at the wrong time... we are due for a trip like that to NAS Key West... to "the right place"...
With 5+ years to go ... I plan to do so in the quietest, least mileage way possible.
