Laura's Story
Life
I have been married to my husband, Mike, since graduating from college in 1971. We have two adult children. Our other "family members" are our "girls", 2 labrador retrievers. Our daughter teaches high school special education in Washington state. Our son is a chemist doing post-doctoral research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. early 2010. My husband retired from 3M Company in Minnesota this year. I am retired from the United States Postal Service, where I managed a human resources group. My retirement hobby is quilting. My husband and I are building a retirement home in Holden Beach, North Carolina (about 40 miles north of Myrtle Beach, SC). With a new grandchild, we will probably split our time between MN and NC.
