A little bit about me Â
I was born on September 28, 1987 in Houston, Texas. I started studying ballet when I was really young and had my first performance was with my sister Haylie in the Nutcracker with the Columbus Ballet. ThatÂs when I first decided I definitely wanted to be a performer.
Of course things first really took off a little later Â
in 2001 when I was starring in the Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire. A couple of years later I brought Lizzie to the big screen with, what else, "The Lizzie McGuire Movie."
I put out several CDs including "Metamorphosis" and ÂMost Wanted. And like most girls my age I began to experiment more with both my personal style and my taste in music as time went on. I really had fun with that in the video for "Wake Up where I got to wear lots of wigs (always fun) and then with all the different looks for ÂBeat of My Heart in which I got to wear only haute couture ( a whole other level of fun  ha!). As my personal style has evolved so has my music and more recently I've been really into dance tracks and experimenting with a variety of rhythmic beats on my new CD.

grow as both a singer and songwriter: I co-wrote all the songs on ÂDignity. In the title track, I talk about my experiences and observations of living in Los Angeles ("Where's your dignity/I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills") while "With Love" turns the world's most common song topic upside down. ("I can take your honesty/All your words weigh heavily/I'm listening to you all the time"). The song ÂStranger reveals a relationship that is picture perfect in public, but cold behind closed doors. With every track, I've been trying to probe life and love more intensely, and with more vulnerability as an artist, than IÂve done before.
I have also launched my fashion and home label 'Stuff by Hilary Duff' in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. I will soon launch my teen designer brand 'Hilary' and I plan to launch a Juniors line Fall 2007 in the U.S. and abroad. I have some exciting movie projects on deck this year, including "War, Inc." with John Cusack (yeah!) and the animated movie ÂFoodfight.Â
But my music  and the upcoming tour  remain front and center these days. And that's just how I want it. IÂve always connected closely with my audience. Now, IÂm saying more -- much more than ever, and saying it with dignity  and with my music.
