Hi all,
It's Aug. 2008, I came into Classmates to update my bio and see who might be new at the site. I'm still married to the greatest guy in the world, Steven. My son, Eric, will be a senior at Foley this year and my health continues to improve.
We finally got the house in Ortonville sold, but like everyone else selling, took a huge loss. We're living in Royal Oak wondering if we'll ever truly be able to leave the state of MI when Eric graduates. If we can't unload the Royal Oak home, we'll unfortunately be bound here. We just continue to trust God to lead us.
I had planned on getting into the work force when I stopped home schooling and put Eric in Foley. Because of my health issues I've had to keep putting it off. Although I'm much better now, I still have days that slow me down.
We have a beautiful Dane named Phyllis who has been nothing but an absolute joy in our lives. She's getting older now...Expand for more
and has become very needy. Now I find myself her personal nurse so think I will have to hold off on employment until she passes. It is my duty and my honor to see her through to the end.
My son Eric was baptized through Kennsington Community Church last week at Stoney Creek. As we arrived at the park for the baptism I realized that the last time I had been there was my last day of school at Foley. It brought back such strong memories. I remember that Rob Churchill and I promised to meet there again in 10 years. We set a specific location at Stoney, date & time.
The memory of that drunken promise crossed my mind a few times over the years but I certainly couldn't remember the details in order to actually follow through. It's been 27 years since that June day in 1981!!! If anyone knows how to get a hold of Rob ask him to contact me through this site.
