School
What to say about school, where do I start?
I made some amazing friends in high school and had a lot of great experiences. (embarassing as some of them were) I still keep in touch with many of the people I knew in high school.
Probably my biggest memory was playing Juliet in one of the plays and the person who played Romeo I'd known since like grade 1, so I was very comfortable. It was my first and last play, but a great experience. Thanks for making things so comfortable Dave.
College
Attended Sheridan College from 1992-1995, first in the General Arts and Science program (or GAS as we liked to call it!!) Then into Library and Information Technology. Unfortunately I got lazy and my grades started slipping, so I did not complete the Library and Information Technology course.
I would have to say my favourite course was "Abnormal Psych." ...Expand for more
It was truly fascinating and the instructor, Ross was great too.
Workplace
I have been with the Mississauga Library System since I was 16 years old. I started out at the bottom level and am now a supervisor. I had never intended on it becoming my career, but I now would not trade it. I have no regrets. I have made some wonderful friends over the years, unfortunately I have lost touch with many of them, I hope at some time to be able to re-connect.
I did work at Chapters for about a year (1999-2000) and it was my only retail experience, again I had made my way up to the supervisory level. It was a great time, I miss everyone terribly, but I had to make the decision to take a full time position with the library (the money was a big deciding factor for me at the time as I was trying to pay off student loans and save money for a house and a wedding.) I made some wonderful friends there, but unfortunately have not kept in touch very well. Alex, Jason, and everyone made it a great experience. Hello to Duncan- if you are reading this- Are you still there??? lol
