Life I have been an EMT in MD since 2010. Next: National Registry! Also have HazMat Ops cert. Just one more way I can try to make this crazy world a better place. I drive a Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) as a volunteer for our local chapter. I am also a Disaster Action Team Captain, responding to local disasters (house & apt. fires mostly). I recently became Nationally certified (or was that certifiable :) ), meaning that I can respond to National Disasters such as Katrina. One more class and I'll be FEMA certified also. At that point, I'll be able to set foot in FEMA offices during a disaster. I was taught to give back to the community and I really enjoy making a difference, one person at a time. I am certified as a Red Cross Disaster Instructor and recently completed certification as a Red Cross Health and Safety Instructor (CPR/AED/First Aid, etc.).
