Laura's Story

"Life after 6th grade..." by Laura It's kind of weird to sum up the past 30 years, but I'll try! Here goes... School/work stuff: 1978 - my family moved from Tucson to Phoenix and then to Los Angeles and the San Francisco area. Those years were sometimes hard since we missed our family back home, but overall great since I really liked moving around and met some really great people along the way. 1989 - moved back to Tucson and transferred to the UofA. Graduated with my BA in '92 and my MA in '94. Currently, work at the university level and really enjoy my job. I guess you could say that I've always loved school and have never left it! raveling! Any opportunity, I get, I'm on a plane without question! Luckily, I get to travel with my job and I love it! Places I've been to include Alaska, Brazil, Portugal and Romania (got to see Dracula's castle in Transylvannia!). There's still a lot more to see in this world, so I plan to see as much as I can before I get too old to move!! Other things I do is love to hang out at bookstores (the nerdy side of me again) and see foreign/independent films. Personal... Married later in life to a great guy and happy I waited for the right one to come along! Well, this is my bio for now. Please excuse me talking about myself so much but I guess that is the point....Thank you for taking the time to read this. It's nice to know that someone still remembers me from a long time ago...
