Lawrence's Story
25 years since graduation? Doesn't seem possible.
After high school, I attended UNR, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering in '87. Did a bit of post graduate studies, then took a position with a New York based company developing geothermal power projects. Stayed there for 14 years, then jumped ship to a startup company doing similar things in 2001.
Kicked to the curb when the company was sold in 2003, so moved on to doing independent consulting. Traveled the world doing geothermal power plant start ups in Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, an...Expand for more
d Kenya as well as California and Nevada. Spent some time in Australia, France, and New Zealand as well. Truly a life altering, positive experience.
In 2007, teamed up with a coupe of cronies to start a new company to develop renewable energy projects from wire to wire. Doing the same at this time, loving every minute of it.
Married for 6 years, divorced for 1 (too many months away from home). No kids, so as the Aussies say, No Worries.
Still based in Reno, other than being a little older, weathered, and wiser (I hope), still pretty much the same.
