Lawrence's Story
Can you believe it????After being a pain in the ass to all our teachers at Cony, I would become a teacher, coach, high school principal, special education administrator in a private school and superintendent. What a ride it was!!! That is, of course,until the day when I intervened as a scissors swinging 6th grader was attacking a classmate. Wearing hiker boats, he took his wrath out on me by kicking me in my bad right knee(remember the Cony-Gardiner football game?Yeah..that knee) 5 or 6 times,stomping on...Expand for more
my arthritic right foot an equal number of times, and kneeing me in the ....yep,groin. Ever the student advocate, I was determined not to get physical with him; so, I positioned myself directly opposite him and got hold of both his wrist, held on while getting blitzed, and a minute later he dropped to the floor of exhaustion. So much for 42 years of school work.My bride and I retired to the Beach here in Georgetown where I spent much of my time as a kid. I'd do it all again!!!
