I was born in Trimont, MN. I went to school, kindergarden through fourth grade in Ceylon, MN, in Martin Co, MN. I attended fifth and sixth grade in Dunnell, MN and then we moved to rural Faribault. I went to school in Medford and met Walter...when we were Seniors we were King and Queen of Sweethearts! After graduation...I wanted to join the military, but unable because of limited movement of my left elbow from riding a bicycle and crashing in to a broad side of the brick barn, when I was nine. I did go on to school at Humboldt Institute in Minneapolis for ticketing and reservations. In September 1973, Walter and I were married. We bought a mobile home (manufactured home), lived there for almost three years, then we decided to purchase our home in Owatonna, It was Walter’s grandma’s house. We lived there 35 years. Due to the flood of 2010, we had 6 feet of water in our basement, the river breached the temporary dike they had built, we had many days of rain but there had been issues of the floor drain in our basement always, it was in the low of Owatonna and old sewer lines. We bought a mission style house at least 100 feet higher than before, we have a much smaller yard and container garden now. We have numerous plastic blow molds and decorate the yard for Halloween, Christmas, Easter with them; with help from our children...Expand for more
