Life
Hi Ridgevally Alumni,
Time has not slowed down since graduation! I hope all of you are healthy and happy.
After high school, I went to Texas, where my mom’s from, and attended SFA university. My grandmother was a professor there, which made it a little less scary (and cheaper) to be so far from home. After graduation, I taught elementary school in Texas for the past 29 years with the exception of 1990-91 when I was a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines (TWA), based in New York City. I was laid off in 1991 with the onset of the Persian Gulf War, so I went back to teaching and then got married. We had two beautiful children but later divorced. My daughter, Brianna, is a mini-me and is a nurse. My son Logan is a mini-me...Expand for more
of his dad and is an electrician. My children and I have been blessed with health and happiness, and I thank God for that.
I retired early from teaching and am currently working as a flight attendant again, which I love. I fly out of Dallas/Ft. Worth Intl. Airport.
My dual citizenship allows me to live in Texas, which I’m grateful for because the weather is good year round and you can do what you want just about any time you want. However, I still get homesick at times. The main thing I really miss about home is the snow at Christmas, skating, and skiing. Christmas time just isn't the same here!
