Lee Ann's Story
It's hard to believe it will soon be 40 years since graduation. A lot of celebrations, disappointments, and some tribulations over the years, but that's life.
My husband, Rob, and I will be married 36 years October 13, 2009. We have two wonderful, grown children. Justin will be 31 next month and he is happily married to Christina, which we claim as our own. They have blessed us with an energetic grandson, Dylan, born January, 2007. Justin is still with the Bakersfield Police Department and Christina is an RN at Memorial Hospital. Sometimes their schedule conflicts and I have the opportunity to watch Dylan on those days. What a joy!
My daughter, Lisa, is 23 and works for the print publication at Buck Owens Production Co., so I get to see her everyday . . . . and keep an eye on her. She is pursuing ...Expand for more
an education in art and is taking night courses at Bakersfield College, "the big high school on the hill". She has a boyfriend, but I'm not hearing any wedding bells in the near future. I think marriage is one of the last items on her priority list.
We try to do a lot of camping in our 5th wheel, wine tasting, and just spending quality time with family and friends. I'm still playing soccer on a women's league here in Bakersfield, and believe me, it's getting harder and harder to keep up with those younger gals on the leauge. I think I'm out of my league, or out of my mind, but it keeps me active.
I'm still working for the Buck Owens Company, but now I'm with The Foundation since Buck's passing. He left a definite void in the company and our lives. We still miss him very much, but his legacy continues on.
