Lee's Story
Life
Life has been pretty good to me so far. I've been around the block a few times and the ride just keeps getting better.
I'm living out here in Los Angeles now and I decided to follow my life long passion for music.
The majority of my educational history has been concentrated in music and I decided to pursue a career that has me surrounded by it.
For the past 16 years I've been a very active vocal coach to singers and actors. Probably 50% are professionals and the others are just trying to get better or get into the pro ranks. I've had some pretty good success stories out there.
This isn't something that I just jumped into. It took a lot of study with the right teachers plus I have a lot of real world stage experience.
I've been able to work with groups like Green Day, Spice Girls Mel B, American Idol contestants, The Voic...Expand for more
e Contestants, Broadway and Disney Shows, etc. Plus, a lot of upcoming artists on what's left of the major labels as well as film and TV projects.
One of my first pro gigs as a keyboardist started with a local Los Angeles band back in the 80's named Masquerade Six. I got this gig while going to the great Dick Grove School of Music. It was a great institution.
Because I had this great keyboarding experience, I was able to propel it into meeting and playing with different groups including opening for Chick Corea.
After moving from Masquerade Six I went on to play/write with groups like LeVert, Gerald Levert, The Rude Boys, Ready for the World, Damian Dame, George Michael, Christopher Williams, Jodeci and others.
Cleveland will always be "home" for me even though the majority of time is spent here in LA. I do love going back.
