Lenore's Story
Life
After leaving St. Mildred's highschool in 1958 I settled in Burtonsville, Maryland, with my husband Jack Simons. We had four children, 2 boys, and 2 girls. Jack stayed in the Steamfitter Union for approximately 37 years. We lived in Burtonsville for 43 years. Moved to Westminster in 2001 and now live out in farm country. I put in 21 years with the Federal Government - my last job with Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, Maryland. ng job and I got to meet with other people from all over the world. My two daughters also work for the Federal Government with US Dept of Agriculture and with Social Security. One of my sons is a Steamfitter here in Maryland, and the other son is a sheetmetal plans coordinator and lives in Richmond, VA. Although I never finished highschool at St. Mildred's, I finally got my GED when I was in my mid-forties. I was able to pass with flying colors due to my good education from St. Mary's and then St. Mildred's. Jack and I are both retired and enjoying the good life!
