Mar'Vel, was born "Lance Kerry Loving Jr" on March 7, 1990 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to a working mother and father. His Parents Divorced When Mar'Vel was ten years old. His upbringing caused him to move regularly: From 1990 - 1996 Mar'Vel moved back & forth from St. Paul, MN to Chicago, IL. Mar'Vel attended Metcalfe Elementary Community Academy While in Chicago.
Mar'Vel also spent time in Jackson, Mississippi with his great grandfather in the early 90's. Lance moved back to Minnesota permanently in 1997.
Originally from Mt Airy Houses, a housing project in the neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota, The future "Mar'Vel Spade" Then known throughout the neighborhood as "Bigman", Would start turning his passion into music after he was abandoned by his father in October 2000.

At the age of 14 Mar'Vel enrolled into Humboldt Sr High School in Saint Paul. It was there that he branched out to express himself more and release from his "shell". He attended art classes and fell in love with theater. His stage name is derived from his younger years when he first got seriously involved with music.
As a local artist Mar'Vel has done shows all over the Twin Cities and Wisconsin. After a mixtape with his prior group "Var$ity", Mar'Vel is now focused on taking his solo career to the next level.
Mar'Vel's solo mixtape which is currently untitled is set to be released in 2013.
Mar'Vel's signature shades are defined to keep him seeing what nobody else can see. A mass collection of designer shades is Mar'Vel's most prized possession.
Mar'Vel's style of music is a mixture of Hip Hop, Pop, Soul, R&B, Dubstep, Electronic, Alternative, Theater and Rock and Roll. "Spade" compliments his whole style as a superior artist. Stating that he's not a "Rapper" instead he an all around entertainer and storyteller. He states that he "makes music for everybody."
Mar'Vel includes Kanye West, Michael Jackson, Prince, Wale, J. Cole and Adele among his influences.".
